In Part 2 of this series, I want to share with you the Law of Attraction and how you can utilize it in your life. It’s probably the best known and most studied of the Universal Laws and the material is expansive.
The Law of Attraction says: By focusing on positive or negative thoughts people can bring positive or negative experiences into their life and that whatever can be imagined and held in the mind’s eye is achievable.
You will see throughout the series that all of the laws tie together in amazing ways. The Law of Attraction demonstrates how we create the things, events and people that come into our lives. Thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn attract like energies. Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies. Remember in Part 1 about how vibrational energy works: Positive feelings = positive circumstances, negative feelings = negative circumstances. The Law of Attraction is not magic, scary science or heavy philosophy – it is all about turning good intentions into positive action.
Please note the word “focus” in the definition. All of us, every single day, have thoughts both positive and negative. In most cases we don’t dwell on them or focus all of our attention on them. They flit in and out as we go about our daily business. However, there are things that affect us deeply and we tend to dwell or focus on these things for a longer period of time and with more energy. It is the Law of Attraction which uses that energy and the power of the mind to translate the thoughts we focus on and materialize them into reality.
So how does the Law of Attraction work with the Law of Vibration?
In order to fully apply the Law of Attraction so that it works for you, just raise your vibration higher. When you start thinking negatively, your vibration is lowered. As your focus on the problem rather than the solution, the size of the problem will magnify because that’s where your focus is. To apply and make the Law of Attraction work fully for you, just raise your vibration higher and away from the negative by focusing on the positive. Remember ~ Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies. With both laws working together, Law of Vibration = higher vibration (positive) and Law of Attraction = focus (positive), you will be able to achieve the goals you have set for yourself. It’s not magic. It requires effort on your part to change your focus.
A key component of the philosophy of the Law of Attraction is that in order to effectively change your negative thinking patterns, you must also “perceive, feel or believe” that the desired changes have already occurred. Some might call this faith. This combination of positive thought and positive emotion is believed to allow you to “attract” positive experiences and opportunities by achieving resonance with the energetics of the Law of Attraction.
Ralph Trine wrote in In Tune With The Infinite (1897), “The law of attraction works universally on every plane of action, and we attract whatever we desire or expect. If we desire one thing and expect another, we become like houses divided against themselves, which are quickly brought to desolation. Determine resolutely to expect only what you desire, then you will attract only what you wish for.”
Charles Haanel wrote in The Master Key System (1912): “The law of attraction will certainly and unerringly bring to you the conditions, environment, and experiences in life, corresponding with your habitual, characteristic, predominant mental attitude.”
In 2006, Rhonda Byrne published the film The Secret, where she emphasizes thinking about what each person wants to obtain by infusing your thoughts with the maximum possible amount of emotion. Her claim is that the combination of thought and feeling is what attracts the desire. The theory presented in The Secret is that your subconscious mind can control everything that happens around you, both positive and negative experiences. You are encouraged to take full control of your thoughts and feelings in order to control the power of the subconscious mind and in doing so can achieve the things in life you desire with your mind as much as with action.

Before you embark on your incredible journey towards true enlightenment in the Law of Attraction, it is important that you understand that you can apply it to your life and it can be effective if the correct tools are used. The main principles of the Law of Attraction can also be discovered in the teachings of many civilizations and religious groups. For example, in the proverbs 23:7, it reads ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so is he’. The Law of Attraction can be uncovered and taught in different ways, but it is still there for all of humanity to find. Whether we know it, like it or understand it, the Law of Attraction is active in all of our lives. Since it is actively at work every day, allowing it to work positively for us just makes sense.
Science and The Law Of Attraction: Fact, Not Fiction
During recent years the work of quantum physicists has shined a greater light on the incredible impact that the power of the mind has on our lives. As this idea is explored by scientists and great thinkers, the greater an understanding we have on the significant role the mind plays in shaping our lives and the world around us. It doesn’t matter if you have a thorough understanding of the quantum physics behind the Law of Attraction because you can still enjoy the many benefits the law offers you.
The more time you dedicate to learning how to use the Law of Attraction effectively, the more fulfilling and rewarding your life can be. There are no restrictions! Open your mind and enjoy the natural abundance of the Universe.
How To Use The Law Of Attraction
As you come to understand the astounding possibilities that life has to offer, you will come to realize that you are an artist. You have the ability to paint the canvas of your life the way you want it to be and then make choices and take actions that will realize what you have envisaged.
So what happens if you don’t like your masterpiece?
Your life is a blank canvas of possibility! You are in control of what the finished masterpiece could look like.
The Law of Attraction is actually simple. All of the universal laws are completely perfect and the Law of Attraction is no exception. No matter what you are looking to have, achieve or be in life, if you can hold onto your vision and see it for yourself in the mind’s eye, you can make it yours with some effort on your part. Be open to people, changes and opportunities that present themselves. Don’t lose sight of what you are achieving and take the steps that can help you accomplish your goal.
The Law of Attraction can affect our lives in amazing ways in areas that are important to us all. Below are a few examples of areas where the Law of Attraction has been utilized:
There are many Law of Attraction techniques and exercises that can increase your confidence, charisma and overall subconscious willingness to receive love. By being willing and open to receive love, it is entirely possible to attract your real soul mate by utilizing The Law of Attraction.
People who believe in the Law of Attraction claim that it affects our relationships because whatever we focus on we experience more of. For example, if you focus on another person’s good qualities those positive qualities will be magnified, and vice versa. It is also thought that by visualizing that a certain person is treating you in a positive manner you will attract experiences that match those visualizations.
It is also believed that a person can attract a romantic relationship with a person who has the characteristics wished for, by creating a mental image of the ideal person and by visualizing the imagined scenes as being real. Improving your self-confidence, charisma and overall subconscious willingness to receive love can attract a partner. These areas can be improved with the help of the visualization exercises and manifestation techniques at the end of this article.

Many of us struggle with the idea of wealth. Often we think and feel we don’t deserve it. We think and feel we are feeding our vanity or being greedy. In order to attract money, we need to banish these negative thought patterns. A key aspect of The Law of Attraction is Positive feelings = positive circumstances, negative feelings = negative circumstances.
When someone visualizes clearly, in detail and with intention, what they want to achieve, or focuses upon that image, that they set in motion through the Law of Attraction a chain of events that eventually culminates in the materialization of that vision.
Charles Haanel says in The Master Key System, “You must see the picture more and more complete, see the detail, and, as the details begin to unfold the ways and means for bringing it into manifestation will develop. One thing will lead to another. Thought will lead to action, action will develop methods, methods will develop friends, and friends will bring about circumstances, and, finally, the third step, or materialization, will have been accomplished.”
Mental and Physical Health
One core claim is that our thoughts directly influence our health and that this is due to the Law of Attraction. Those who actively operate in the Law of Attraction believe that worry, fear, stress or other negative thoughts make people sick, while positive thoughts of wellness or love can keep people healthy and even cure illnesses. An important part of maintaining health and of curing illness is to be able to visualize yourself as being healthy.
It has already been acknowledged within modern medicine the magnitude of importance that the mind has in the physical recovery of the body. It has conveyed to the world the marvelous capabilities of the mind in its ability to convince itself and the body into a state of total health, without any external intervention.
This is not a suggestion that conventional forms of medicine should not be adhered to. Modern medicines and medical intervention when necessary plays a crucial part in the healing process. However, when combined with the remarkable capabilities of the mind, healing can be accelerated and will encourage long-lasting health.

Medical science has shown that almost ALL physical illness results from inflammation. Inflammation can result from build-ups of negativity that create stress which has been left unchecked to grow until it eventually spills over into some physical sign of illness. Eliminating all forms of physiological stress and refusing to allow any room in your mind for dwelling on the discomfort or worry of bad health can allow your body the room and time to eliminate itself of illness.
Self-Image, Self Confidence And Utilizing Positive Thinking
Taking charge of our mind and bodies is our own personal responsibility. It means taking control over our self-image.
The issue of weight and our attitudes towards weight loss has become more complex as society has become more fixated with what we eat and the way we look. Obsessing about your weight can only lead to more ‘fat thoughts’ and increased weight gain. Focus on exchanging ‘fat thoughts’ for ‘thin thoughts’ immediately if this is what you want.
Self-esteem is the opinion you have of yourself. Realistic feelings of confidence and positive self-esteem affect how you think and act, how you feel about others, and how successful you are in life. Many times our self-esteem and self-confidence is dramatically effected by how we have been treated throughout our life.
The constant bombardment of words like worthless, stupid, lazy, etc. have a direct impact on how we see ourselves. Eventually we begin to believe and see ourselves like this. It is critical for you to understand and believe that you are none of those things. When you find yourself thinking negative things about yourself, look at the thought, discard it, replace it with positive thoughts and speak them out loud to affirm them.
Once you begin to train your thoughts, you can discover and experience how positive thinking boosts health, self-confidence and self-esteem.
Fear and Anxiety
Fear is one of the most potent emotions when it comes to reducing your capacity to attract what you desire. Do you feel anxiety, stress or fear when you think about your life and what could go wrong? You are not alone if you suffer in this way. Developing a strategy to deal with this mindset will allow you replace these emotions that hold you back and keep you focused on the idea of lack or failure. Replace these negative emotions with positive ones. Remember, love fills you with positivity and heightens your energy vibration allowing your manifestation abilities to be much more powerful.
It’s important to understand that transforming fear into love isn’t about repressing or denying the truth of your feeling. Mastering your emotions is a useful skill here. The thought is that you can fully embrace those emotions, acknowledge them, and find a way of processing them so they can be let go.
Mental health can really impact your physical health and wellbeing. Decreasing any levels of stress as soon as you can is very important. The Law of Attraction focuses on the idea of self-confidence and faith in the universe. Letting go of all feelings of doubt in yourself is essential to effectively utilizing The Law Of Attraction
When we visualize our manifestation goal we elevate our frequency, (remember the Law of Vibration) bringing our energy in line with the thing we want to come into our lives. Visualization is an important role in creating our heart’s desires, but it’s vital to realize that visualizing does not itself create things.
Visualization involves creating images, in your mind or physically gathering them, which show your goals and dreams you have for your life. You can visualize by creating vision boards by gathering pictures and images and having them in front of you or just visualizing in your mind what you want in your life.
Visualization helps you to find and focus on your goals and aspirations. Visualize what these goals look like, smell like, sound like, feel like and taste like, if it’s relevant. Make it real in your mind. Don’t just focus on achieving your goal, think about your life after you have reached it and imagine how it will change your world. Once you have the images and visions in your mind, you can start to feel the emotions you have for them, which can help to motivate you and help you manifest your goals and dreams.
When you engage in full, sensory imagination, your brain prepares your body to move forward. Your muscles, heart, lungs and every part of your body prepare to take part in whatever you’re visualizing. When you take part in this visualization exercise, you align yourself with your desires. Open up to the possibilities and prepare your body to receive whatever it is you are attempting to attract. It may seem simple, but this first step is what paves the way to working with the energies of the Law of Attraction.
Now that you’ve practiced visualization, it’s time to live out the manifestation.
Instead of just visualizing the reality in your mind, live it as much as possible. This may feel silly or strange to you, but it’s very important.
When you first start learning how to make the Law of Attraction work for you, start with something simple. Let’s use a parking spot as an example. Next time you are going out to shop and would like to find great parking, get in your car and drive to the parking spot you want with the full intention and expectation of finding it clear for you. Speak out loud, “That parking spot is clear for me. I am parking in the spot that is open for me.” Now I know this seems really silly, but it’s a critical step. Don’t be deterred. It’s all about teaching yourself to think positively with intention. See it, speak it, hear it! Remember, God “spoke” our world into existence! Genesis 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God said and it was so! There is incredible power in spoken words. Speaking your affirmations aloud is a critical part of the Law of Attraction.
If you’re practicing the technique on something bigger, this exercise may be tricky, but use your imagination. If your goal is to lose weight, purchase an outfit that fits the size you’re aiming for. It doesn’t need to be expensive unless that is part of your goal, to reach that size and wear expensive clothes. Place the outfit where you can see it daily and often as a reminder of the goal you have set for yourself. Visualize, see yourself, with intention, wearing it.
If you want a new car, go to a dealership, shop around, find the car you want and take a picture of it. Then place that picture where you can see it on a daily and often. Visualize, with intention, yourself driving it.
If your goal is something as big as complete financial freedom, start planning what you’re going to do with all that free time and money. Add to your vision board pictures of the things you plan to buy with the money.
Create a vision board representing what you want to manifest. Place it where you can see it daily and often. Use your vision board as inspiration when visualizing.
Make a Gratitude list.
Gratitude sets you up for success because it places you in the right mindset to
receive it. Each day think of what you are grateful for in your life
right now. List of all the things you’re thankful for and add to the list
whenever you think of something else. Wake up every morning and read your list
of the great things in your life right now. It will put you in a better mood
and shift your perspective to find other things that make you happy. Like attracts like.
The important thing is to take action! Simply desiring riches doesn’t manifest money into your life. Ensure your fears and doubts aren’t speaking louder than your desires. Act as if you already have what you’re looking for. This is important because it allows you to experience and feel the gratification of what it’s like when you’ve attracted your desire. It solidifies your belief and reinforces the visualization you worked on. Take this step with joy and enthusiasm!
Achieving your goals is not going to magically happen. A new car is not going to magically appear in your driveway. Money is not going to magically appear in your bank account. BUT, as the Law of Attraction begins to work for you, new people and opportunities will present themselves and you need to be open to receive what they have to offer. It requires work on your part to make your goals happen. The wonderful thing is that opportunities will come that will allow you to reach your goals.
These techniques absolutely work. How effective they work is up to you. For most of us, our thinking patterns have been established since birth. If we were raised in a negative environment that effects how we view the world and how we think. Changing patterns that have been with us a lifetime can take time and work.
The Law of Attraction is NOT a magic wand! It’s not magic at all. It requires effort on your part to utilize the energies to their fullest potential. Whether we know it, like it or understand it, the Law of Attraction is active in all of our lives, all day every day! You can’t defy the laws of the universe, so don’t expect to. Instead learn to utilize them to make positive change your life.
